Mikie ( as I called him) was my best friend since 1968 when I was in first grade at Colfax Elementary School. In the later years I referred to him also as my BFF. Mike was my best friend until the day he left us. I will always remember him for being a cut up, his head of hair, and mostly his laugh and his smile. A few years ago, I fell from about 20 feet up and had broke 10 ribs and had sepsus, and pneumonia and was in a long term care facility. Well, who comes walking in but Mikie my BFF. He had snuck Mineo's pizza into the joint, and the spent the next 5 minutes doing all he could to make me laugh. Only a best friend gets away with making me laugh while having 10 broken ribs. Mikie, my BFF, you will be missed by many. Thanks for being the person you were and that I will never forget. RIP my dear friend.
